I first met Garren Apple when he enrolled in the program Leadership Idaho Agriculture (LIA). Garren at the time was employed by a regional farm management organization. Garren graduated from the program in 2007. Shortly after his graduation he became a member of the organization’s board of trustees and has most recently been elected to also serve on the Advisory Committee.
Garren’s leadership, knowledge of Idaho agriculture, awareness to farmers and ranchers throughout the state and passion for helping agriculture people be successful is very evident.
Garren’s decision to leave the regional farm management group and form his own company was a good decision. Garren’s entrepreneur spirit and work ethic to be successful has proven well for him in owning his own company. Garren continues to develop and hone his leadership skills through his participation in LIA. Since graduating from the program Garren participated in a second stage of the program – Washington, DC Experience where he furthered his education in understanding how federal agencies and the federal government, Congressional offices and not organizations work on behalf of America’s agriculture. All of these experiences have provided Garren with additional skills in dealing with the farmers and ranchers he represents.
